Theodore C. Ostrowski's Obituary
Theodore C. Ostrowski, age 85, a resident of Wheaton since 1959, died Sunday, May 24 at Hinsdale Hospital. He was born on April 27, 1924 in Chicago,IL.
He was a decorated combat veteran who served with the Timberwolf Division in the Army during WWII. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1948. In 1951 he married Efthemia Papanicholas. He founded Pioneer Office Forms in 1957 where he worked until retiring in 2002. He lived Notre Dame football. He was a devoted Cub fan, and enjoyed his wife's cooking.
He is survived by his wife Efthemia, five children, Theodore (Lynn) Ostrowski of Homewood, Evan Ostrowski of Chicago, Daniel (Marianne) Ostrowski of Carol Stream, Christina Ostrowski of Memphis, TN and Andrew (Tana) Ostrowski of Missoula, MT, nine grandchildren, two sisters, Dolores Ostrowski of Wheaton, Ann (Dow) Gothard of Santa Rosa, CA, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. A Mass will be held on Thursday, May 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, 300 Cole St. (east of Main St.) Wheaton. Prayers begin a the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the St. Michael Parish School Scholarship Fund, 3880 Forrest Ave., Memphis, TN 38122.
