Obituary

Thelma W. Zipfel, age 93, a resident of West Chicago and formerly of Bloomingdale and Bagley, Wisconsin, died Saturday, April 9 at the Central Du Page Hospital. She was born in Bagley on August 18, 1911 to Leslie and Mabel Jenkins.

She was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical U.C.C. in Bloomingdale and volunteered at Bensenville Nursing Home.

She graduated from Bagley High School in 1928 and married Stacy Sutton of Lynxville. Two children were born to them before his death in 1930. In 1942 she married Arthur Zipfel and moved to Chicago.

Thelma is survived by one daughter, Joyce (Len) Mahlke of Paw Paw, IL, three granddaughters, Deborah (Tom) Kost of Carol Stream, Diane (Rich) Zysko of Chicago, and Gail (Tom) Jones of Carol Stream, five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, one son, Stacy "Buzz" Sutton, and great-granddaughter, Kayla Kost.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 PM. at Hultgren Funeral Home. Services will be held at the Bagley Cemetery on Saturday, April 16 at 12 noon.

Memorials may be directed to the Bagley Methodist Church.
