Terrence V. Leonard, age 77, a resident of Warrenville, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021. He was born June 11, 1944 in Chicago to Philip & Rose Leonard.

He graduated from Wheaton Community High School in 1963 and his life was dedicated in service to his family, his community and his country. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served from 1963 to 1967 completing one combat tour in Vietnam. He graduated from FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA and served for 29 years across several law enforcement roles from patrolman to investigator, eventually retiring as Commander of the Administrative Division for the Wheaton Police Department. He could build or fix almost anything and was tireless in helping everyone around him.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children Scot (Donna), David (Carrie) & Elizabeth Leonard; his grandchildren Daniel (Tina), Nathaniel, Samuel (Ana), Alyssa, Zechariah, Jeremiah, Eric & Ryan; his great-grandchildren Levi & Ezra; his siblings Daniel (Karen) Leonard & Kathie Matthews. Also survived by his mother & father-in-law Ann & Bruce McConachie and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Ronald, Timothy, Rory & Todd Leonard.

A celebration of life will be held at the Warrenville VFW, 3S371 Mignin Dr., Warrenville, IL 60555 , on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 4-7 PM with a honor guard and prayer service at 5:15 p.m.
