Obituary
Teresita L. "Tess" Najera, age 64, a resident of Wheaton, died Saturday, March 24, at Kindred Hospital in Northlake. She was born June 19, 1942 in Batac, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
Tess came to the United States in a Nursing Exchange program. She was a registered nurse and worked at a number of hospitals, most recently at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago. She regularly attended St. James the Apostle Catholic Church in Glen Ellyn.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Pablo; her daughter, Cecilia of Carol Stream; her sister, Lucila Lopez of the Philippines; and a niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mariano Lagmay and Clara Flojo.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 26, from 4-8 P.M. and again on Tuesday, March 27, from 4-8 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 28, at 10:00 A.M. at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 480 S. Park Blvd., in Glen Ellyn. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.
