Theodore J. "Ted" Adams 80, a resident of Wheaton for 48 years, died May 14. He was born in Chicago, August 30, 1924. Mr. Adams was Founder and Chairman Emeritus of T. J. Adams and Associates Insurance. He served as a fighter pilot in WW II , followed by many years in active reserve, retiring with the rank of Colonel. He graduated class of 1950 from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He was a founding member of Lima Lima flight team of Naperville. He was a former board member of the Outreach Community Ministries in Carol Stream

He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, June; his children Cynthia Conforti. Christine Gruden, Susan (Mark) Erickson, John E. (Jeannine) Adams; his grandchildren Teresa Dempsey, Jason Conforti, Gina Griffiths, John Conforti, Tiffany Gruden, Stephanie Peterson, Stacia Lord, Chad Erickson, Jane Erickson, Blake Erickson, Brooke Adams, Bryan Adams, and (9) great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents.

Visitation Tues May 17th, 3-8:00 pm at Hultgren Funeral Home 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. Memorial service Wed. May 18th 11:00 am at St. Matthew United Church of Christ, with Rev. Neal Sadler officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Matthew United Church of Christ Memorial Fund 1420 S. Gables Wheaton, IL 60187.
