Suzanne C. Glassman, age 87, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and nurse, passed away peacefully March 10, 2021 in Batavia, Illinois. She was born January 16, 1934 in LaPorte, Indiana. After completing high school she received her nursing degree in 1955 from Presbyterian/St. Luke in Chicago, Illinois. In 1956 Sue married her childhood sweetheart, Wayne Glassman. Together they raised 3 rambunctious boys. She worked in two family doctor offices and then as a school nurse. In 1974 she returned to school, St. Frances College, and was a pioneer in a new field as the first graduating class of Nurse Practitioners. She used this degree to work at the Wheaton College Health Center where she healed the physical and emotional needs of their students, and later as a parish nurse treating those in need. Her home was always open to homesick students. Sue loved Jesus and was active in her church as a leader in the church choir, youth groups, and Sunday Schools. She loved her friends, and family, loved to sail, and time at their summer home in Bethany Beach, Michigan.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Wayne; her children Steve (Laura), Rick (Penny), and Mark (Vonla) Glassman; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

A private burial will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois. A memorial service to celebrate Suzanne's life will be held at a later date.
