Obituary
Steven M. Kolton, age 21, a resident of Carol Stream, died Monday, March 7, at Central DuPage Hospital. He was born May 14, 1983 in Downers Grove.
Steven loved to draw and was a Media Arts student, attending the Illinois Institute of Art at Schaumburg. He collected Star Wars memorabilia and loved to watch movies and play video games. He served on the volunteer staff with the Junior High Group at First Baptist Church of Wheaton where he was a member.
He is survived by his parents, Barbara and Richard; his sister, Kerri; his paternal grandmother, Virginia; his maternal grandparents, Willard and Ella Nora Fruits; three uncles, Jerry (Gloria), Roy (Lynette) Fruits, and Benjamin Gladkowski; and four cousins, Meg Gladkowski, and Katarina, Austin, and Karis Fruits.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Stephen; and his aunt, Mary Ann Gladkowski.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of a service at 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Wheaton, 1310 N. Main St. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to First Baptist Church of Wheaton, 1310 N. Main St., Wheaton, Il 60187. Gifts will be directed to the Junior and Senior High ministries.
