Steve Bliss, a long-time resident of Wheaton, IL passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9th, at his home in Warrenville, IL. He was 55.

Born in St. Louis, MO on July 7th, 1959, Steve was the third oldest child of the late Clinton A. and Mary E. Bliss. He grew up in Wheaton, IL and attended St. Michael Parish School and St. Francis High School. He also earned an Associate degree through College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL.

Steve was a long-time employee of American Flange and Manufacturing in Carol Stream, IL. He also worked briefly at the Home Depot in Carol Stream, and operated his own lawn maintenance service. He was an excellent artist.

Steve enjoyed sports and being with his family. He is survived by his wife Kelly Bliss (nee McPherson), son Shaun Bliss, daughter Sarah Bliss, and stepsons Steven, Tony and Michael Garrett.

He also is survived by his granddaughter, Brooklyn Noelle, as well as nephew, Jason Mottl (Laura) and nieces, Megan Bliss and Heather Bliss.

Also surviving are brothers, Gerard (Linda) and Rev. Michael Bliss, and sister, Elizabeth Mottl (nee Bliss).

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton Albert Bliss and Mary Ester Bliss (nee Finnegan).

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., on Sunday, March 15th, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street in Wheaton.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 16th, at St. Michael Catholic Church , 310 S. Wheaton Avenue, in Wheaton.

Interment will be at a later date at St. Michael Cemetery in Wheaton.
