Stacy R. Sorrill's Obituary
Stacy R. Sorrill, age 54, a resident of Glen Ellyn, IL, died May 7, 2012, at home. He was born April 10, 1958 in Quincy, IL.
Stacy was a gifted photographer and his love of God showed through his photos. He loved his children dearly. He was a creative and artistic man who could master so many talents. He was an avid reader and a lifelong learner. His sense of humor was marvelous. He volunteered in many organizations and ministries and loved to focus on helping others. He attended Northern Illinois University and ultimately graduated from Elmhurst College with a degree in Business.
He is survived by his children, Christina (Fiance Joseph Sauer) Sorrill of Wheaton, IL, Wesley (Charlotte) Sorrill of Naperville, IL, and Alan Sorrill of Wheaton, IL; his father, Robert Sorrill of Glen Ellyn, IL; his sister, Sally (David) Madio of Sugar Land, TX; his significant other, Ginny Rusy of Geneva, IL.
He was preceded in death by his son, Rutherford Sorrill; and his mother, El Dred Sorrill.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave., West Chicago, IL 60185. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be directed to the church.
