Obituary
Sophie Heiser, age 80, a lifelong resident of Wheaton, died at home on Sunday, January 29. She was born in Wheaton on December 2, 1925 to Thomas and Agnes Ellos.
Sophie's family owned and operated Tom's Eat Shop on Front Street in Wheaton for many years. She also worked at the County Clerks office and for over 30 years worked at Carlson's Paint and Art Store as a framer. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing Rummy.
Surviving are three sons, William R. Heiser of Belvedere, Thomas G. (Camille) Heiser of Wheaton and Jeffrey Heiser of Evanston, and two grandsons, William and Ryan Heiser.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Bessie Klingberg.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton, where a funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton.
