Sonia Jackson, age 92, of Wheaton IL, went home to be with the Lord on March 10, 2022 - passing peacefully from the arms of her children, into the loving arms of Jesus.  She was born to immigrant parents on August 4, 1929 in New York City, attended Calvary Baptist church where she sang in the choir, played the piano, and was affectionately known as "Honey" to her friends.  It was there that she met her husband Colin, with whom, after 18 years apart, she is now gloriously reunited in heaven.

Settling her family in Wheaton IL, she worked for Wheaton College, and was an active member of College Church, and considered all persons associated with as her extended family.  Sonia will be remembered as a devoted wife, tender loving mother, Nana to her grandchildren, and a friend to all.  Above all she loved her Savior Jesus and loved to share that wholeheartedly with anyone who would listen.

Sonia's legacy will live on through her daughter- Karen (Glenn) Vanderveld, son- Wesley (Linda) Jackson, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

An immediate family gathering in celebration of Sonia's life will be held privately.
