Solveig Johnson, age 68, a resident of Alden Valley Ridge in Bloomingdale, IL died Monday, October 27, at home. She was born October 20, 1940 in Attleboro, MA.
Solveig was well known as the "Quilt Lady" at Wheaton Bible Church. She often made quilts and gave them to families with newborns at Wheaton Bible Church.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Paul; her brother-in-law Wendell (Lois) Johnson of Melrose Park; her sister-in-law, Carolyn McVeigh of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustav and Thora Worness; and her sister, Lillian Stack.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave., in West Chicago. Interment is private.
