Shirley Ann Webster, nee Finley, age 87, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at home. She was born August 20, 1928 in Eugene OR.
Mrs. Webster, along with her husband Warren, served as missionaries to Pakistan from 1954 to 1970. In 1970 they moved to Wheaton, IL where they continued to serve with their mission board (CB International – now WorldVenture) in the home office until 1993. Warren served as General Director of the mission board. Shirley assisted him in many ways and worked for Conservative Baptist Association of America as their bookkeeper.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, in Wheaton, IL where she volunteered to the very end. Her volunteer activities there included: helping in the church office, with the Missions Program, the Sunday School Program, the Awana Club Program, helping to plan and prepare Senior Luncheons, helping with the Women's Ministry Program, and hosting a small group Bible Study at her home.
She is survived by her daughters, Debra Ann (Ron) Brummer, nee Webster, of Roseau, MN, and Cindy Lou (Don) Trulson, nee Webster, of Elbow Lake, MN; her grandchildren, Lindsay Ann (Aaron) Phillips, nee Brummer, of Mountain View, CA, Jessica Leigh (Andrew) Radloff, nee Brummer, of Elkhorn, WI, Heidi Lee (Patrick) Loebs, nee Trulson, of Warsaw, IN, and Nicole Renae (Travis) Hansen, nee Trulson, of Elbow Lake, MN; her great-grandchildren, Eva Phillips, Jack Radloff, Edna Radloff, Greta Loebs, Liesl Loebs and Landen Hansen; her sister, Lorene (Tom) Stewart, nee Finley, of Lebanon, OR; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Warren Webster; her parents, Willis Riley and Minnie Reva (nee Jacobs) Finley; and her sister, Janice Boles, nee Finley.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at
First Baptist Church of Wheaton
, 1310 North Main Street, in Wheaton with the Rev. Mike Rowe officiating. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
