Shirley A. Davis, age 84, a resident of Beacon Hill of Lombard, IL, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016. She was born April 5, 1931 in Chicago to Chester and Dagny Gunderson.

Shirley worked for District 83 Schools at Scott School Library. She was a member of the Friends of Northlake Library Committee. She and her late husband, Joe, loved to go bowling, fishing and boating. Shirley also had a great love and knowledge of dogs.

She is survived by her three children, Mike Davis of Joliet, IL, Jo Anne (Frank) Battista of Oswego, IL, and Chris (Ken) Kelderhouse of Lockport, IL; ten grandchildren, Tracey (Thom) Croy, Jackie Falbo, Cathy (Brant) Cappitelli, Joe (Katie) Battista, Tony (Lisa) Battista, Franco Battista, Phillip Davis, Jason (Ginger) Davis, Kellie (Jimmy) Leek, and Garrett Baer. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, P.J., Bella, Danny, Zachary, Christian, Dominic B, Abby, Summer, Dominic C., Anthony and Talia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her son, Jeff; her daughter-in-law, Lilian; her parents; her brother, Jim; and her nephew, Eric.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
