Sheryl Goble's Obituary
Sheryl Goble, age 52, a resident of Wheaton for over 20 years, died at home on Saturday, January 15, after an inspiring six year, four month battle with breast cancer. She was born on April 26, 1958 in Rockford, Illinois.
Sheryl was raised by John and Terry Strom in St. Louis, Missouri where she graduated from high school. She attended the University of Missouri and graduated with a BS degree in Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse and then in pharmaceutical sales for ICI Pharma. She transferred to Chicago where she worked in managed healthcare and eventually as the business manager for Diamond Headache Clinic in Chicago. The last eleven years Sheryl has been a successful real estate agent in Du Page County.
She was a hard working woman who was passionate and determined. She was anxious to help others and went on several mission trips through Wheaton Bible Church, including a memorable mission trip to Kenya. She had a big heart and was willing to open her home to those less fortunate. She loved to dance, sing and listen to music. She loved to be with her friends and to dine out. Sheryl enjoyed entertaining. Her Christian faith was an important part of her life that she lived out with her husband and two children.
She is survived by her husband, John, daughter, Gabrielle "Gigi" and son, Dillon. She is also survived by her mother who raised her, Terry Strom of Aurora, IL, her natural mother, JoAnne Nagle, of IN, two sisters, Chris Latino of NY and Bethanne Nagle of IN, one brother, Joe Strom of Aurora, and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father who raised her, John Strom, and her natural father, Alfonso Latino. She will be missed by her many friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20 from3 to 6 p.m. at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave. in West Chicago. A funeral service will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
