IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sherry Elizabeth
Cowell
February 10, 1958 – December 12, 2025
Sherry Elizabeth Cowell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, December 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. After a courageous journey with pancreatic cancer, Sherry entered eternal rest, fully healed and embraced by her Savior.
Sherry was the devoted wife of Tim Cowell, with whom she shared a life rooted in love, faith, and unwavering commitment. She was a loving and supportive mother to her daughters, Lauren Cook (Matthew) and Elizabeth McCaskey (Edward), and a cherished grandmother to William Cook, Lana Cook, Grace McCaskey, Patrick McCaskey, Alexander Cook, Charlotte McCaskey, Violet McCaskey, and Eliza McCaskey, each of whom brought her immense joy.
She was the treasured daughter of Terry Doane (Marylynn) and Lillian Doane and a loving sister to her brothers, Mark Doane (Shelia) and Thomas Doane (Twyla). Sherry held her family close and faithfully nurtured those relationships with warmth, encouragement, and grace.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Sherry loved Jesus with her whole heart. Her life was a reflection of that faith—marked by kindness, compassion, humility, and a servant's spirit. She found peace in prayer and Scripture and was a steady source of encouragement to those around her. Even in her illness, her concern remained for others and her trust in God never wavered.
Sherry also had a special love for God's creation. She found great joy in her horse and had a tender heart for animals, especially her dogs and cats, who were a source of comfort and companionship throughout her life.
Those who knew Sherry will remember her as kind, gentle, brave, and beautiful—inside and out. She had a rare ability to make people feel welcomed, valued, and deeply loved. Her legacy is one of faith, love, and quiet strength.
Sherry is now rejoicing in the presence of her Savior. As Scripture promises, "Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord" (Matthew 25:21).
