Sandra Strejc, age 66, a resident of Naperville, IL, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 8, 2019, at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Illinois. She was born February 26, 1953 in Oak Park to James and Estella Strejc.

Sandy was a friendly, loving and caring person who enjoyed her life in a  group home with  "Little Friends" for almost 40 years.  The amazing staff of Little Friends, Inc. were more than her care takers, they were her extended family.  In her younger years, she enjoyed  her independence walking around downtown Naperville and getting a cup of coffee with her friends. She was currently attending Spectrum Vocational Services in Downers Grove where she would do piece work to earn and little spending money.

Sandy loved attending Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Naperville for over 30 years.  The love the pastors and congregation showed her made her want to be at church every Sunday, she hardly missed one.  Sandy would refer to herself as the Worship bands #1 fan. Sandy also loved music, dancing, reading, coloring, and she would share her art with her friends to show her love. She also participated in WDSRA activities and especially liked their Boogie Nights and Creative Corners.

She is survived by her siblings, James "Jimmy" Strejc, Laurie Pranskunas, and Janet Strejc and her niece, Jennifer. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Church, 1310 Shepherd Dr, Naperville, IL 60565, (630) 961-9220. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m
