Sallymae F. Borg, age 84, a resident of Arlington Heights, Illinois, died Monday, December 18, 2017, at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. She was born May 12, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois.

Sallymae worked for the phone company when she was young and then later earned an income assembling locks, but she was primarily known for raising a family as a loving and caring homemaker.

She is survived by her children, William, Susan, Robert and Larry; three grandchildren, Dominique, Thomas and Erinn; four great-grandchildren, Javon, Jayden, Trinity and Serenity; and her unofficially adopted "step-son", Bob.

She was preceded in death by her husband on 36 plus years, Lester, who passed away in 1989.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of a funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. at The Orchard , 1330 N. Douglas Ave, in Arlington Heights. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Arlington Heights.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
