Sally Sheehan Midura (n'ee Brown) lovingly known as Sally, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, in Wheaton, Illinois, at the age of 96.  Born on April 12, 1929, in Gary, Indiana, Sally lived a life devoted to her faith, family, and community.  Sally graduated from Lew Wallace High School in Gary, Indiana, and went on to attend Taylor University  in Upland, Indiana.  Her education laid the foundation for a life filled with purpose and service.  As the daughter of Reverend Earl Brown and Grace Brown, Sally grew up deeply rooted in her Christian faith.  Worshipping Jesus was central to her life; she lived with unwavering devotion and radiated the joy of the Lord in all she did.

Throughout her life, Sally was an active member of several churches that were dear to her heart: Waukesha Bible Church in Wisconsin; Portsmouth Alliance Church in, Virginia; and First Baptist Church in Wheaton, Illinois  She also served as President of the Christian Women's Club in Waukesha, and President of the Women's Prayer Band in Portsmouth.  Whether she was singing in church or working in Awana clubs, her leadership and dedication to these ministries touched countless lives.  Sally found great joy in traveling across the country with her second husband, Chester Midura, in their motorhome.  Together they explored new places and created cherished memories.  Antiquing was another passion of hers.  She delighted in discovering treasures that carried stories from the past.

Sally was preceded in death by her first husband, William Sheehan, her second husband, Chester Midura, Reverend Earl Brown and Grace Brown; and her sister Judith Jones.  She is survived by a loving family who will forever cherish her memory; her daughters Pam Fijolek of Aurora and Jamie (Dan) Jones of West Chicago; her son Brad (Nancy) Sheehan of Bloomington, IL; grandchildren Lauren Urbanek(TJ) of Hanover Park; Paige Fijolek of Woodstock; Brian Fijolek of Bloomingdale; Matthew Sheehan(Melissa) of San Clemente, CA; Miriam (Joshua) Wilkes of Wheaton; great-grandchildren Emma, Brady, Ellie, and Evangeline Sheehan; Jovie and Margot Wilkes; brother-in-law Jerry Jones and nephew Rick Jones of Santa Barbara, California.  Sally loved Chester's children and grandchildren; Greg Midura of Wheaton, Linda (Howard) Carstensen of Wheaton, Tim Midura of Wheaton, and Keith Midura of Mishawaka, Indiana; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation service will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Wheaton on March 9 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, where family and friends are invited to gather to honor Sally's remarkable life.  Sally Lou Midura's legacy is one of faithfulness, love, and joy.  May her memory bring comfort to all who know her as they celebrate a life well lived.
