Sadie L. Bryant, age 98, a resident of of Wyndemere in Wheaton, passed away on Monday, January 25. She was born January 10, 1918 in Orchard, Iowa to Lester and Bessie Bryant.

Sadie received a MS in education from Southern Illinois University. She began her teaching career in a one room rural school in Southern Illinois. She worked for many years as a classroom teacher for Glen Ellyn School District 41. After retiring in 1977, she worked part time as an ESL tutor, retiring again in 1999 for a total of over 60 years as an educator.

She was a member of Glen Ellyn Bible Church where she was active in children's ministries. She enjoyed music and attending concerts and was an avid reader. At Wyndemere she was very involved in many activities.

She is survived by six nieces, Linda Gouwens, Loribeth Dietrich, Lisaanne Lewis, Hedy Garlock, Brenda Bryant, and Becky Hubert and nephew, Don Bryant, Jr., sister-in-law Verna Bryant and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Howard Bryant and Donald Bryant.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Wyndemere Auditorium, 200 Wyndemere Circle, Wheaton, IL 60187.
