Obituary

Ruth E. Warden of St. Charles, IL, went home to be with the Lord on August 29, 2019.

Ruth was born November 20, 1923, in Chicago. Raised by loving Christian parents, she spent her formative years in several Midwestern cities where her father served as a Baptist minister, including Messina, IA, Oelwein, IA, Cumberland, IA and Moberly, MO, before finally settling in Oak Park, IL, where she lived for many years.

Ruth graduated from Wheaton College, and her love of education and children led to a 40 year career as an elementary school teacher at Lincoln School in Cicero, IL. During school breaks, Ruth enjoyed visiting relatives in the United Kingdom and Canada. She was devoted to her family, and was caring and generous to all her relatives, especially her many nieces and nephews. Above all, she loved Jesus Christ, and her faith and trust in Him was a defining feature of her life.
