Ruth E. Sceresse's Obituary
Ruth E. Sceresse, age 90, a resident of Naperville, IL, and formerly of Wheaton, IL for 56 years, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Meadowbrook Manor
in Naperville, IL. She was born October 21, 1921 in Kaneville, IL.
Ruth worked most of her career as a secretary at Vern Kiebler Electronics in Wheaton. She also did volunteer work for Marionjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton and other area organizations. She attended the Northern Illinois Teachers College. She enjoyed bowling and playing Bridge and was an avid golfer.
She is survived by her daughters, Janyne (Dann) Duff of Glen Ellyn, IL, and Carolyn (Don) Wenig of Naperville, IL; her granddaughters, Jenny (Tom) Hackett, nee Duff, and Lauren and Julia Wenig; her great-grandson, Tommy Hackett; her sister-in-law, Anne Weishaar, nee Sceresse of Crete, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; her parents, Raymond and Lola, nee Jones; her brother, Robert Putnam; her sister, Gwen Fleming, nee Putnam; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
