Ruth Merilyn Negris' Obituary
Ruth Merilyn Negris, age 84, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, IL, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012. She was born August 2, 1927 in Oradell, New Jersey.
Ruth was a long time resident of Wheaton, and a member of Wheaton Bible Church. She was active in organizing neighborhood Bible studies, teaching Sunday school and was an accomplished pianist. Ruth was a loving mother and grandmother. Her family and faith in God were the most important things in her life.
She is survived by her children, Beth (Keith) VanderVeen of St. Charles, IL, Robert of Glen Ellyn, and Paul (Sharon) of Wheaton; her grandchildren, Joshua, Kristen and Jonathan VanderVeen, and Olivia and Grant Negris; and her sister Evelyn (Rev. Julian) Courteol of Nogales, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Raymond Paul Negris in 2010.
A visitation will be held Thursday June 14, from 9 A.M.-11 A.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL. A memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. at Windsor Park Manor, 124 Windsor Park Drive, Carol Stream, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, Mission Aviation Fellowship will accept donations to the "Ruth Negris Memorial" at www.MAF.org, or at Mission Aviation Fellowship, P.O. Box 47, Nampa, ID 83653.
