Ruth M. Kalberg, 95, passed away on Friday August 11, 2017, at Central DuPage Hospital. She was born in Chicago on October 1, 1921, and was a resident of Carol Stream.

Ruth was a member of Wayne Township Seniors. Her hobbies were vegetable gardening and crocheting afghans. She also enjoyed traveling and did so extensively. She spent over 20 years as a snowbird on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. While in Mississippi, she regularly attended First Baptist Church of Gulfport, and while in Illinois, she regularly attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Roselle.

She is survived by her three children, Ken Kalberg, Robert Kalberg and Sharon Crabbe; five grandchildren, Heather Crabbe-Brown, Stacey Kalberg-Pitts, Michael Kalberg, Jennifer Kalberg-Richard, Kristen Kalberg-Deaton; and ten great grandchildren, Dakota, Shelby, Joshua, Joey, Abigail, Justin, Alexis, Hailey, Jonathan and Camden.

Services will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. The visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment service will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL at 12:30. p.m.
