Ruth Flesvig Gibson of WIndsor Park Covenant Living in Carol Stream, IL went to her eternal home with Jesus on October 20, 2025.  Born May 25, 1937 in Chicago, IL to Eric and Ruth Flesvig along with sister Judy and brother Robert. Ruth trusted Christ at a young age at a neighborhood gathering.  She was an enthusiastic Christian leader in her years at Morgan Park High School and Wheaton College.  Married 59 years to Dennis Lee Gibson until his passing in 2019.  They had 3 sons, Steve, Dave and Scott and made their home in Wheaton.  She had 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Ruth loved Jesus and people so much!  It was her nature and her joy to live out God's greatest commandment. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and all your mind and with all your strength. And love your neighbor as yourself."  Ruth truly did that all her life!  She cared about the details of people's lives and always wanted to make connections and share the love of Jesus with them.  She always loved being a hostess and greeter and connector in her years in the Wheaton and Windsor communities.

A visitation will take place at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave, West Chicago, IL 60185, on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at the church.
