Ruby Marilyn Hanson's Obituary
Ruby Marilyn Hanson, age 81, a resident of Windsor Park in Carol Stream, died October 7, 2014. She was born April 8, 1933 in Ellsworth, Wisconsin.
She attended Poole School in Ellsworth and Maiden Rock High School, graduating in 1951. She attended the Lund Covenant Church. Ruby moved to Wheaton and worked for Christian Service Brigade for over 50 years. She was very active with Pioneer Girl Clubs and Parkview Community Church. She enjoyed traveling extensively and served as a short term missionary to Cameroon.
She is survived by her sister, Bernice Johnson of Villa Park and her twin brother, Reuben (Marjorie) Hanson of Chicago, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Axel Reuben and Grace Hanson, her siblings, Leila May Edblom, Leland Hanson, and Boyd Hanson.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 10 to 11 at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. A memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at at Windsor Park. Interment will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Covenant Church Cemetery in Ellsworth, WI.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Windsor Park Benevolent Fund or Christian Service Brigade .
