Roy James Hendricksen, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. He was born February 21, 1918 in Chicago, IL.
Roy graduated from Calvin Park High School. He entered the Army and served during World War II as part of a heavy automotive repair company. After the war he was a machinist by career. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Mildred and loved being a grandfather. He was a lifelong, diehard Cubs fan.
He is survived by daughters, Linda (Erv) Spevacek of Victoria, MN and Betty (Jeff) Nikolich of St. Charles, IL; grandchildren, Nathan (Christie), Amanda and Tracy Spevacek, and Jen, Jason and Ryan Nikolich; and great-grandson, Mason Spevacek.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred in 1991; and his brother, Harry in 1992.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
