Rosie Marie Freeman, age 91, residing with family in Warrenville, IL, formerly of Maywood & Chicago, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. She was born April 7, 1931 in Athens, Alabama to Charlie and Essie (Turner) Darby. She is the youngest of 11 children.

She is survived by her son, Charles (Cathy) Freeman of Warrenville, IL; her grandchildren, Matthew (Carley) Freeman, and Holly (Louie) Cisneros; her great-grandchildren, Ruby, Anya, Jason Freeman and Leah Cisneros. She leaves behind two God-Children, a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Freeman, of 47 years, her father, mother and siblings.

Rosie truly enjoyed spending time with family, friends, tending to her flower garden, and being actively involved with her church family/choir and community. One of her favorite songs was, "Jesus is on the Main Line – tell Him what you want". Rosie worked as a caregiver and domestic assistant to many families in the River Forest, Forest Park and Oak Park areas.
