Rosemarie Mares, age 84, a resident of Wheaton and formerly a 40 year resident of Glen Ellyn, died on Tuesday, February 15, at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital in La Grange, Illinois. She was born June, 28, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to Charles and Agnes Mares.

Rosemarie grew up in Berwyn and graduated from Morton High School. During the war years she worked at Western Electric. Before retiring she worked for many years at Blistex Corporation in Oakbrook. She lived with and cared for her aunt for many years. She loved her home and garden and loved to eat.

She is survived by her cousins, Shirley (Joseph) Kozeluh, Arlene Mares, and Geraldine (Robert) Stearns, and Geraldine's sons, Greg (Lisa) Riedl and Glen (Michele) Riedl and his sons Mason and Julian.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her aunt Mae (William) Pelikan.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St, Wheaton, where a service will be held at 7 p.m. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19 for a graveside service at Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois .
