Rosalie B. Peebler, age 88, of Wheaton, IL, passed away on January 28, 2009 at home. She was born August 11, 1920 in Washington County, Iowa.
Rosalie received a Bachelor of Arts in teaching at Parson's College in Fairfield, IA. She was a Physical Education Teacher at Fairfield High School in Fairfield, IA. After her children were all in High School, she started working at Kroehler Manufacturing in Naperville, IL, and later worked in the Men's Clothing Department at Colson's in Wheaton, IL. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, playful kittens, taking time out of her day to feed the birds and watching the cardinals at the bird feeder.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ralph V. Peebler; four children, Cynthia Peebler of Wheaton, and Lezli (Tom) Rogers of San Diego, CA, Steven Peebler of Chicago, IL, and Ralph (Michelle) Peebler of Ramona, CA; granddaughters, Jessica and Vanessa; her brother, Robert Wysoske of Davenport, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Magdalena (nee Zielinsky) Van Dyke; and her brother, Gale Van Dyke.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 2, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of a funeral service at 12:00 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
