Rosa Amancha, age 81, born on November 8, 1936 in Cuenca, Ecuador, a resident of Wheaton, IL, went to the Lord on April 5, 2018, in Naperville, Illinois

Our mother was one of the most kind, caring, and hardworking individuals you will ever meet. With her contagious smile, she could bring happiness to all those around her. There was something about that smile that could sooth your soul and make you feel safe. She was a woman with a big heart that had so much love to give. Putting others happiness first was only a fraction of what made her an unforgettable woman. Through three continents, and more than a handful of countries, she was able to laugh, love, and dance nights away. The values that she and Jorge Amancha created and established as the foundation of their family will live for many generations to come. She will forever be loved and missed dearly.

She is survived by her children, Eulalia Amancha, Anita Torres, Emma Amancha-Aguirre, Magdalena Amancha, Patricia Amancha, Marcelo Amancha, Martha Rodriguez, and Fabian M. Amancha; her grandchildren Nancy, Jorge Andres, Carla, Ricky, Venessa, Steve, Kayla, Alyssa, Adrian, Katelynn, Jonathan, William, and Sammy; her great-grandchildren, Daniel, Diana, Debbie, Brian, Nathan, Andy, Taylor, Tamia, Richard III, Aaliyah, and Alicia; her great-great-grandchildren, Emily, and Daniela.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jorge Amancha; her siblings, Delia Silva, Juan Asitimbay; her granddaughter Paulina Martinez; her parents Aurelio Asitimbay and Maria Peralta.

A visitation will be held April 9, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home 304 N. Main St, Wheaton, IL 60187. A funeral service will be held April 10, 2018 at 11:00 p.m. at St. Daniel the Prophet 101 W Loop Rd, Wheaton, IL 60189. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery at 1S510 Winfield Rd, Wheaton, IL 60189.
