Ronald E. McCurdy, 84, a resident of Naperville, IL, and a long time resident of Carol Stream, died Wed., Feb. 12, 2014. He was born January 14, 1930 in Chicago, IL. Mr. McCurdy worked for Wheaton College as a carpenter and was a member of Wheaton Bible Church. He served in the US Navy from 1948-1952 on the USS Newport News. He also volunteered at Central DuPage Hospital. He is survived by his children, Robert McCurdy and Lori (Jeffrey) McCurdy Janicke; his grandchildren Heather (Eric) Chizzo, Sarah (Glen) Krisch, Amie Orlowski, Ashley (Scott) Bills, Jeremy McCurdy, Anthony McCurdy, and Jake Janicke; and his great-grandchildren Aidan, Owen, and Ben Krisch, Makenna Chizzo, and Alexa Orlowski. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary Lou McCurdy, and his daughters Barbara, Debra, and Jennifer. A memorial service will be held at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave., West Chicago, IL 60185 on Sat., March 8 at 11 a.m. with Rev. John White officiating. Memorial gifts may be directed to the
