Rodolfo Dela Peña , a beloved resident of Bloomingdale, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, at the age of 90. He was born on November 22, 1934, in Bangar, La Union, Philippines.

After moving to the United States, Rodolfo began working in the dietary services department at Beacon Hill Retirement Community. It was there that he met the love of his life, Wilma, with whom he shared 27 wonderful years of marriage.

Rodolfo had a deep love for the simple joys in life—fishing and camping with friends and family in Moline, Illinois, tending to his lush garden, and capturing memories on film. He had a green thumb and a generous heart, often sharing meals he lovingly prepared, especially his favorite dishes: Pakbet and Dinuguan.

He cherished spending time with loved ones, whether playing the Filipino card game "41" with his brothers, cheering on the Chicago Bulls with a can of Coca-Cola in hand, or watching his favorite boxer, Manny Pacquiao. His warm presence and deep devotion to family will be dearly missed.

Rodolfo is survived by his devoted wife, Wilma Dela Peña , his children Volther Abreu (Jobel), Venus (Eugene) Peña , and Vanessa (Archie) Arnobit, and his beloved grandchildren Arianne, Trevor, and Esther, who brought him great joy. He is also survived by his brother, Jaime Dela Peña, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several of his siblings.

He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Family and friends are welcome to join together for a visitation on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a service following at 3:00 PM at Hultgren's Funeral Home, 565 Randy Road, Carol Stream, IL, 60188
