Robert Joseph Parratore Sr.
July 20, 1952 – January 17, 2025

With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Robert 'Bob' Joseph Parratore Sr. on January 17, 2025, at the age of 72, following a brave journey through Alzheimer's. Bob's life was a testament to his deep love and devotion to his family.

Born on July 20, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, to Phil and Zetta Parratore, Bob grew up surrounded by the warmth of a large, loving Italian family. He spent his early years on the South Side before moving to Norridge, where he attended Divine Savior School and Ridgewood High School. A talented athlete, Bob earned MVP honors in wrestling and football. His dedication and skill led him to attend Augustana College on a wrestling scholarship, where he earned his degree and met the love of his life, Christine.

In October 1976, Bob married Christine (Larsen) Parratore, and together they built a life filled with love, family, and lifelong friends.Their home was always open, often filled with laughter, good food, and the warmth of gatherings with loved ones.

Bob and Chris chose Lombard and then Glen Ellyn as the perfect place to raise their family, bringing up their three children: Reneé (Rob) Konzelman, Joseph (Kelly) Parratore, and Robert (Ashley) Parratore Jr..  Bob cherished his role as "Grandpa" to his beloved grandchildren: Aiden, Jackson, Mason, Kennedy, Vivian, Jacob, Owen, and Gianluca.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his siblings, Phil (Karen) Parratore and Wayne Parratore, and with Christine's brother Jim (Debby) and sister Susan (Keith). Bob lived a life full of joy, sharing his infectious enthusiasm with his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who became like family.

Forever a sports buff, his favorite players were his kids. He cheered loudly from the sidelines, coached, and supported them. One of his proudest accomplishments was helping bring stadium lights to Glenbard South—a true testament to his dedication to his children and community.

Bob built a successful career in electrical sales as a proud member of the Electrical Association of Chicago. Over the years, he worked with Efengee, Englewood, CED, and Steiner Electric, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues for his work ethic, humor, and integrity.
