Robert "Rob" L. Lamb, age 60, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, died of colon cancer on November 3, 2020, at the Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence in Elk Grove Village, IL. He was born February 15, 1960 in Evanston, IL, to J. Robert & Fern Lamb.

As a child, Rob enjoyed playing ball, ice skating, toy cars, collecting baseball cards, and was a member of the Boy Scouts. He also developed a lifelong interest in photography and a fandom for the Chicago Bears and Cubs.

He graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Journalism. While studying there he also met his wife, Kimberly, and they married shortly after his graduation in 1983. As a young couple, they enjoyed a variety of sports, including golf, bowling, and skiing, and took several cruise vacations.

In 1992, Rob and Kim moved from Evanston to Carol Stream, where they soon started their family. Rob was a loving and involved father and son, placing a high priority on attending all of his family's events. He also loved to celebrate holiday traditions with the extended family, especially Christmas.

Rob spent the majority of his career working in the printing industry, including working with his father at Eagle Printing and Thermographing in Chicago, IL. Rob also worked for over ten years at Dexter Retail Services as the money room manager where he developed a keen knack for finding silver quarters only by sound.

Rob was an active member at several local churches and volunteered as an AWANA leader (Faith Baptist Church of Winfield) and worship PowerPoint operator (Fellowship Church of Carol Stream).

Throughout his life, Rob enjoyed attending concerts, engraving, experimenting with a wide variety of arts & crafts, trying new recipes, and especially photographing flowers. He will be remembered for his many and frequent acts of generosity, and his kind, caring, and gentle demeanor.

He is survived by his children, Jenny (Brandt) Bruxvoort & Jake Lamb; his brother Rick (I-Tien Yeh) Lamb; his father-in-law David Clay; his sister-in-law Christine (Robert) Senkpiel; brother-in-law Bruce (Holly) Clay, and many nieces and nephews.
