Robert L. Kehring, age 74, a resident of Winfield for the past thirty years, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 28, 2015. He was born March 2, 1941 in Chicago to Lester and Evelyn Kehring.

In 1959, Bob graduated from Proviso East High School, Maywood, Illinois where he met the love of his life, Carolyn Kukla. Bob and Carol were married April 20th, 1963 and spent 52 loving years together. They raised three daughters in Lombard, Illinois. He worked as a telecommunications technician for many years, and retired from Sprint in 2003 at the age of 62.

He is survived by his wife Carol, three daughters, Kathy (Ray) Myles of North Aurora, Patti (Joe) McCarthy of Bartlett, Missy (Mike) Lisner of Sycamore, and ten grandchildren, Patrick, Kevin, Emily and Sarah Myles, Tim, Shannon and Alyssa McCarthy, Dustin, Dylan and Haylee Lisner. He is also survived by his sister, Donna June (Skip) Stuth of Tucson, Arizona, his nephew, Randy Stuth and two very special cousins, Tom (Marta) Devine and Mary June (John) Sobota.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents and a very dear aunt, June L. Devine.

Bob's family was the joy of his life, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening and took great pride in his beautiful yard. He often said to Carol, "Our yard looks just like a park". Bob always met everyone with a warm smile, open acceptance and a keen sense of humor. He has always been and forever will be a kind, loving, gentle, sharing, intelligent and good-natured man. We will miss him dearly.

"A beautiful life that came to an end, he died as he lived, everyone's friend. In our hearts a memory will always be kept, of one we loved, and will never forget".

A memorial mass will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 0S233 Church St., Winfield, IL 60190. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m until the mass begins at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the mass at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.
