Robert J. Hesch (Bob), age 84, a resident of Wheaton, passed away May 14, 2021, at Charter Senior Living in Glen Ellyn.  He was born April 5, 1937 in Chicago to Joseph & Rose (Frantell) Hesch, since deceased.

Bob graduated from York High School, Elmhurst, IL in 1955 and was employed in the jukebox and vending industry for most of his working life. The position he found very fulfilling was as National Sales Manager for Conlux, a coin dispenser distributor in St. Louis. Bob loved the travel and talking with customers. He also enjoyed watching the White Sox and Green Bay Packers, and he turned the whole family into sports fans.   After retirement, Bob and Rita moved to Delavan, WI. They enjoyed the golf and lake and even had a waverunner for a while. They especially enjoyed the overnight visits of their children and grandchildren. They lived there for 12 years and moved back to Illinois when Bob's illness made them need to be back by caring children & their spouses.

Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rita, nee Bonas; his children Lisa (Rick) Kolomay, Robert (Gia) Hesch & Joanne (Adam) Salomon;  Bob was proud "Poppy" to six grandchildren: Jill, Dean & Kara Salomon; Zoey & Joseph Hesch; and Lexi Kolomay.

A visitation will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of prayers 11:15 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL. Funeral Mass will follow at St. Daniel the Prophet Church at 12:00 Noon.
