Robert D. Jones, age 80, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Brighton Gardens in Wheaton, IL. He was born February 3, 1935 in Elmhurst, IL.

Bob was a Claims Adjuster at Allstate Insurance for 28 years. He was a longtime active member of Gary Church where he volunteered in many ways. He was an avid bicyclist and especially enjoyed riding on the local Prairie Path.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Beverly; his children, Nancy, (Mike) Regan of Glen Ellyn, IL, William (Martha) Voegeli of Claremont, CA, and Ellen Voegeli Prignano of Warrenville, IL; six grandchildren, Susan Prignano, Kathryn Prignano, Nicholas Brazeal, Michael Brazeal, Shaeleigh Regan and Bailey Keates; his brother, Jack (Audrey) Jones of Lombard, IL; and two nieces, Polly and Kelli.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Beatrice Jones; and his grandson, Peter Prignano.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Gary United Methodist Church , 224 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187. Interment will be private.
