Robert G. Cornwell, 85, of Palatine, IL peacefully went to meet his Lord on December 5, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was born August 5, 1926 in Chicago, IL.

He is survived by his loving wife, Helen, nee Paulsrud, Cornwell; his three beloved children, Paul (Debby) Cornwell, of Allen, TX, Tom (Leslie) Cornwell, of Palatine, IL, and Barbara (Arvin) Solsaa, of Menomonie, WI; and was an amazing grandfather to his grandchildren, Zack and Meridith Cornwell, Nathan and Angie Cornwell, and Natasha, Nastia and Annie Solsaa. He is also survived by his loving sister, Adelaide; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Wilbur Cornwell.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 3839 W. Frontage Rd., Palatine, IL 60067 where funeral services will be held on Friday December 9, 2011 at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Irving Park Cemetery in Chicago, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HomeCare Physicians, 1800 N. Main Street, Wheaton, IL 60187 where Bob volunteered for many years; or to Bethel Lutheran Church (address above) where Bob was a faithful member, also volunteering many hours in service to the Lord.
