Robert M. Clark, age 83, a resident of Warrenville, passed away January 13, 2021. He was born December 18, 1937 to Hubert & Reina Clark
Bob was born and grew up in Providence, Rhode Island. He served overseas in the Navy in the engine room of the USS Chilton from 1955 - 1958. He met Barbara Leather after returning home from the service in 1959. They were married on August 29, 1959. Bob worked in manufacturing for most of his career and retired from Texas Instruments. During retirement he served at the East Providence School Department before moving to the Chicagoland area to be near his children and grandchildren.
Bob enjoyed cooking and was known for his famous peanut brittle. He will always be remembered for his infectious laugh and his love of his family. He and Barbara were devoted members of Faith Covenant Church in Wheaton for over 20 years. Bob served Jesus through his work at church and by helping others God put in his path.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara; his children Kimberly (Douglas) Baer and Steven (Sara) Clark; his grandchildren Daniel (Lyndsy) Clark, Timothy Clark and Courtney Baer; and his brother David (the late Shirley) Clark.
A private burial with military honors will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Faith Covenant Church , 2001 Lakeview Dr., Wheaton, IL 60189, on January 23rd at 2:30 p.m. All guests must register for the memorial service through this link: https://reopen.church/r/fBDC6Mkr .
