Obituary

Robert Hall Bollow, age 80, a resident of Winfield, went to be with his Lord Jesus on Thursday, March 13, at Centegra Hospice in Woodstock, IL. He was born on February 11, 1928 in Chicago, IL.

He was raised in Skokie, IL and graduated from Niles Township High School in 1945. He served in the Army during the occupation of Italy following World War II. He met his bride, Shirley while she was in high school. Bob worked at Semler Industries, formerly Blott-Robb, in Franklin Park, IL for nearly 40 years. Colleagues and clients alike knew that Bob's word was his bond; his work was hallmarked by an integrity that his success never compromised. He faithfully worshipped and served at the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church for 35 years. He was known for his upbeat spirit, his wit, and how he had a special nickname for everyone. A private pilot, he loved everything about aviation.

Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley; four children, Sherry (Hugh) McGowan of Woodstock, IL, Robert (Ellen) of Wheaton, John (Lori) of Los Angeles, Sarah (Gary) Woltjer of Grand Rapids, MI; nine grandchildren, Jordan, Jesse, Jamison, Jensen, Jeremiah, Samuel, Owen, Emma, and Abigail; and many beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Lee.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16, from 2:30 P.M. until the time of a funeral service at 4:30 P.M. at the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church, 520 E. Roosevelt Rd. Interment is private at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.
