Obituary

Robert Frank Ailor Sr., (Bob) age 84, of Winfield Illinois, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by family on October 8, 2015.

Bob was born in Cleveland, OH on November 21, 1930. He attended Brooklyn High School in Cleveland Ohio, graduating as class president in 1948. He met the love of his life Rachel Nadine Musick in the summer of 1950. They married October 30th of the same year.

Serving in the U.S. Army as a corporal during the Korean Conflict he acquired the knowledge and skills he would use in his career as a computer programmer, systems analyst, manager and consultant.

After his service in the Army, Bob worked for Lockheed Martin and Disney Studios in southern California. In 1959 Bob moved his young family to Wheaton Illinois. Where he continued to work in data processing (IT).

Bob is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 65 years, Rachel Nadine Ailor, sons Robert Jr, and Dean (Kathy) Ailor and daughters Dorothy (David) Courtney, Cathy (Randy) Johnson. Grandsons Timothy Courtney and Jackson Krauter, Steven (Violet) Crispo. Great-grandchildren Calleigh and MacKenzie Crispo. Sisters Jean Normile, Nancy Reis.

He is preceded in death by his father Frank Benjamin Ailor, mother Goldie Mae (Guiliford). Brothers Richard, Tom, and sisters, Mary, Joan and Elizabeth.

What he loved most was God. Family, trains with Tim, sports, with Jackson, wood working, computers and reading were his passions. Making people laugh and smile by telling corny jokes was a big part of who Bob was, and always there to help neighbors with household projects, or whatever they may have need of.

Bob's family would like to thank the care givers of Gentivia Hospice for the loving care and support they have provided. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to Gentivia Hospice, 85 W. Algonquin Rd., Arlington Heights, IL. 60005

Funeral services to be held privately for the family.
