Richard August Witzke's Obituary
Richard August Witzke, age 75, a longtime resident of Bolingbrook, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 28, at Hines V.A. Medical Center. He was born April 21, 1937 in Chicago.
Richard served in the US Navy. He was a loving husband and father who loved the Lord. He loved sailing, sports and enjoyed singing in community choruses and at church. Over the course of his life he was a witness to others and was acitve in church life.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Merna, five children, Barbara Witzke, Richard (Nancy) Witzke, Susan (Jon) McCann, David (Rachel) Witzke and Diane (Duffy) Polk, two grandchildren, and one sister Marilyn O'Keefe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, from 4 to 8 at Lisle Bible Church, 1302 Lacey Ave.,Lisle, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, at 10:00 am. Interment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
