Richard Raymond Sewell, age 73, a resident of Bolingbrook, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.  He was born June 14, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, to Stanley & Evelyn Sewell.

Richard spent the majority of his professional career in the field of printing and lithography where he developed many lifelong friends and worked in various roles. It would not be uncommon to see his son Jason there with his father on the weekend burning plates while his father worked in the negative preparation department.

In his later years, his new passion was for his grandson Jacob where Rick watched him during the day while his parents worked and the two went on many an adventure together. Be it swimming, golfing, tennis, or hiking the two were inseparable.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol; his son, Jason; his daughter-in-law, Tabitha; and his grandson, Jacob.

Richard was a man small in stature with a huge heart who was loved by many and will truly be missed.

A memorial visitation will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Wheaton, Illinois 60187, on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
