Richard E. Peterson, age 82, a resident of Bloomingdale, formerly of Skokie, entered God's presence on January 8, 2020. He was born May 9, 1937 in Oak Park, Illinois to Erland & Lillian Peterson.

He is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Tonie Peterson; his children Richard (Kathy) & Tony (MaryBeth); his grandchildren Bradley, Benjamin, Nathan & Kristina; his brother Alfred (the late Jaqueline) Peterson; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his sister Charlotte (Stig) Salomonsson.

A visitation will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020, from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Bloomingdale Church , 264 Glen Ellyn Road, Bloomingdale, IL, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment private at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, Illinois.
