Richard
Moons
August 21, 1950 – January 30, 2022
Richard (Rick) Andrew Moons was born in Detroit, Michigan but grew up in Wheaton, Illinois. He graduated from St. Francis High School (Wheaton). He enjoyed playing and watching baseball – a Cub's fan like his mother. He also played guitar with his younger brother Randy (who was the band's drummer), for the high school's variety shows. Upon high school graduation, "Ricky" attended a small college in Minnesota. After returning to Wheaton, he was employed in Carol Stream at Container Corporation of America until moving to California to raise livestock.
He left the West coast to eventually settle in Florida for most of his adult life. Most notably, he was an avid Harley Davidson biker – so Daytona Beach (known for biker week) became his final destination. Although many miles and years have separated him from his only daughter, Rachel; he has fond memories and great hope for her future happiness.
Rick was most proud of his long-time, soul companion -- his black Labrador Retriever- who preceded him in death - Hercules "Herc". Now may they both rest peacefully – as Rick has returned to Wheaton, IL and joins his father, Andrew Arnoldus; his mother Marguerite Elizabeth Couvreur; and brother Randall Alberic Moons.
