Richard L. Higginbottham's Obituary
Richard L. Higginbottham, age 57, a resident of Aurora, IL, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at work in Hinsdale, IL. He was born July 22, 1955 in Kendallville, IN.
After being raised in Indiana, he moved with his family to Illinois, where he lived for the last 27 years. He worked as a fiber optics technician all that time, and most recently for Ericsson. Richard enjoyed relaxing with his family, travel, reading and collecting books. Richard was an attendee of Willow Creek Community Church. He was also a proud member of the NRA, Porsche Club of America, and the VFW.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Christine Higginbottham, of Aurora, IL; daughter Alexis Simek and son Spencer Higginbottham, also of Aurora.
He was preceded in death by his father Gerald Higginbottham, and mother Donna Caudell.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of a memorial service to be held at 5:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will be private.
