He and Doris married in 1937. They resided in Oak Park and Wheaton until her death in 1982. They had three children: Carol B. Powell of Atlanta, Georgia and James R. Beeby and William R. Beeby of Finlayson, Minnesota.
Dick married Kathryn Schall Harris of Pontiac in 1993, their families having been friends since the mid-1950s. Kathy Beeby survives Dick, residing in Pontiac.
