Renee Josephine Homola, nee Hugh, age 82, a resident of Bloomingdale, IL, died Saturday, July 14, 2012 in Bloomingdale, IL. She was born January 8, 1930 in Chicago, IL.

Renee dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. At one point in her life, she worked part time at Northwest Community Hospital as a nurse's aide in the nursery. She donated over ten years to being on the board of directors for Valley Shelter Workshop in Batavia, IL. Her enjoyments were traveling, doing crafts, gardening, entertaining and trying out new recipes.

She is survived by her children, Debra Renee Schaffer, Ben Richard (Mary), Kent Steven (Barbara), Scott Walter, and Cynthia Susan (Mark) Narup; her grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon, Jennifer, Stefanie, Benjamin, Steven, Dean, Jonathan and Cara; her great-grandchildren, Julia, Garrett, Jedidiah, Addison, Gavin, Madison, Kylee, Caiden and Collin; her brother, Walter; and her sister, Dolores Harrigan.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Benjamin Clarence; her son, Mark Robert; and her parents, Walter and Josephine Hugh.

Visitation will by held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service to be held at 6:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL, with Reverend Keith Perry officiating.

Interment services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Arlington Cemetery in Elmhurst, IL.
