Raymond P. Prosperi, age 95, a resident of Glen Ellyn, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021. He was born November 16, 1925 in Chicago, IL to Philip and Genevieve Prosperi.

Ray grew up in Chicago and in grade school he developed lifelong friendships which led to the development of the Badger "Investment" Club. He graduated from Foreman High School, where he played basketball which led to a scholarship offer to play basketball at Drake University. He met Nadine Mattran, his wife of 57 years, at a family wedding. They lived in Chicago and as their family grew they moved to Elmhurst.

He worked for many years in marketing and advertising for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Chicago. He also worked as director of marketing and advertising for Allied Van Lines in Broadview and then in sales for Strathmore Printing in St. Charles.

Raymond enjoyed being with family and friends at various social events, where he had fun sharing stories and laughter. He also enjoyed a good glass of wine and various sporting events. He liked playing golf and playing cards with his Badger friends.

He is survived by his children, David (Nadine), Cynthia (Jeff) Adams, Kristine (Joseph) Karsa, Philip (Mary Lynn) and John; his grandchildren: Alexander (fiancee Laken), Michael (Jennifer), Zachary (fiancee Jennifer), Matthew (Allyson), Claire, Mitchell, Amanda (fiancee Zachary), Anne, Caitlin, Jaclyn and Randall, one great-grandson, Anthony Raymond Adams.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nadine and his parents.

The family requests that all attendees at the visitation and funeral mass are vaccinated and wear masks. A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, Illinois 60187. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Michael Catholic Church. Private interment will be held at St. Michael Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
